Last Thursday I had the great pleasure of reading from The Bramble King at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff, alongside my old friend Sheenagh Pugh, who was launching her own latest collection Afternoons Go Nowhere. Both are now available from Seren Books.
Sheenagh lives in Shetland these days so I haven’t seen her for a while. It was very enjoyable to hear her read some tremendous poems.
While I was there I called in to see a fascinating graduate show and met Lois Grage, who has designed a studio set of Jared’s Observatory from my novel Incarceron as part of her final graduation project. It was amazing to see it and image it as a real TV or film project!
